In times like this, it is so crucial to come together as a community and support each other in every way we can. Through Dine One One New Jersey, we hope to help healthcare and restaurant workers in New Jersey as they face the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic brings. Our healthcare workers are overworked and are under an immense amount of pressure, and many restaurants are experiencing economic distress due to social distancing measures. We aim to help local restaurants by purchasing meals from them and delivering these meals to frontline workers at New Jersey hospitals as well as food banks in need. A small token of appreciation is the least we can do for the frontline workers who are saving lives day in and day out, and the meals we are able to purchase via donations help keep struggling restaurant businesses stay afloat. As the virus continues to run its course, we will expand and grow our operations with the goal of helping as many communities as possible!

OUR MISSION

New Jersey
Dine One One New Jersey is composed of a group of students who are eager to help relieve some of the hardships that the COVID-19 pandemic brings. The pandemic has affected everyone in unique ways; however, what this New Jersey group has in common is a sense of helplessness as they watched COVID-19 take its toll on NJ communities. As a result, they decided to take initiative to help alleviate the effects of the pandemic, especially for small businesses and healthcare workers, by creating Dine One One NJ.
Harsheen Singh, a 20 year-old Rutgers student, decided to build a Dine One One NJ after discovering the original Dine One One in Los Angeles via social media. Similarly, Elyssa Szemcsak, a 21 year-old business major at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, was also inspired by the same LA chapter of Dine One One. These two students recently combined forces in hopes of having a larger reach across New Jersey. With the support of the March On Foundation and continued public donations, they hope to continue to build and expand the good work they have done for NJ communities thus far!
